How to get Britain climate ready

Adapting to the changes in climate that we are now only too aware of is critical for future resilience and security on all levels : food security, infrastructure and energy security, water and soil security – all of which ultimately affect our entire economy. A more joined up approach on all these areas is essential for future growth and sustainability. I am pleased to support this Green Alliance publication, being launched today in Parliament at the Environment APPG. Do read the essays, mine focuses’ in particular on flooding and water resilience given the direct experiences I have had in these areas both as the previous Floods and Water Minister and as a Somerset MP where flooding has been a stark issue.
