Making Environmental Policy – Rebecca played a pivotal role in shaping the UK’s ground breaking environmental policy, steering the landmark Environment Act through Parliament. This comprehensive legislation introduced legally binding targets for nature restoration, waste management, air quality, and water conservation. Rebecca championed clauses on global deforestation and the protection of ancient woodlands, setting a global example for ambitious environmental governance.
Reflections on water – based on Rebeccas’ experience as former Water Minister. Including her work on the Plan for Water – recommending a more holistic approach to the water landscape and measures to reduce pollution.
The Making of a Monument – the inspiring project which Rebecca spearheaded to restored the Wellington Monument. A £4m project in partnership with the National Trust to restore the monument commemorating the Duke of Wellington (a former Prime Minister and one of our greatest war heroes) and his success at the Battle of Waterloo. The community project succeeded against all the odds!
